Data Migration

One of the most complex challenges was migrating old data from past website vendors to the new site. Wrangling all this legacy data was tricky, but it was vitally important for Kalas to support past obituaries.

We cleaned and transferred over 8,000 cases going all the way back to 2006. Each and every case got an upgrade to our clean and modern layout. We removed spam messages, fixed broken links, removed bad data, and ensured past obituaries not only remain on the site for years to come...but look great, too.

Building and launching the new Kalas website was only the beginning. We carefully monitor the health and performance, and are constantly finding ways to make the site better.

Each month, we review website analytics, flowers sales, and tree donations, so we can make data-backed improvements. We also work closely with Kalas’ marketing team, integrating with their advertising campaigns and new content requests.
